Research InterestsThere is much material for researching in the United Kingdom so Martin's lines have been easy to research but Marie's family are of Tamil extraction and although she was born in Malaysia the roots go back to what was Ceylon. While still researching Marie's family there is little here on her family treesas it has been hard to uncover the usual information. Nevertheless we will pursue these lines. Martin's has been interested in Genealogy for over 15 years and in that time his research has led him all over England with contacts in Australia, America and other countries. The Family Tree Formats |
The current tree covers many more names than are listed here as he has taken the opportunity to trace various lines that have married into these families. |

With a large collection of names it has become necessary to use some form of Genealogy software to store the information. Our particular preference is "Family TreeMaker". This affords us the opportunity to export/import family details in GEDCOM format for interchange with other researchers. The dates within the trees are based on the Julian calendar. To transfer the files to other researchers we use compressed files, 'zip' files. If you are unsure about compressed files like '.zip' then please read this link first. If you would like like to know more about GEDCOM files then please follow this link. If you would like to known more about Julian Calendar then please follow this link.
